This reading pass: coverage & gaps
Selected recent reading and a separate classics view, not an exhaustive literature or author-publication inventory. All 120 records belong to the library; seven classics are a subset, including five newly added earlier references.
18 original notes + 97 selected two-year notes + 5 separate earlier references: 120 records. Archive ranges below describe what was read; unread periods are not treated as silence.
Daisy Christodoulou / Chris Wheadon / No More Marking
2024 and 2025 annual title lists; early-2026 sitemap; current archive exposes May 30–September 13, 2026. April 2026 targeted search fills the seam. Selected article bodies dated December 2024–September 2026.
The 2026 sitemap was stale and the normal archive exposes only a recent slice. This is a coherent curated pass, not a complete publication inventory.
Natalie Wexler / Minding the Gap
2024 annual title list; 2025 year-end author retrospective and targeted searches for AI, ChatGPT, writing, feedback; current archive June–September 2026; selected original essays November 2024–September 2026.
2025 and 2026 sitemap retrieval failed; no claim that every 2025 post was inspected. Reporting on families is not representative firsthand parent research. AlphaWrite was not tested by Wexler.
Daniel Willingham
Archive and sitemap discovery failed. Read two signed full articles (2025-07-08 and 2026-08-20); the newer one was located through Wexler’s explicit link. Author identity had been verified by the earlier source pass.
Current publication cadence and complete two-year output not verified; only these two article discoveries are claimed.
EEF / NFER
Public research-agenda overview and search through 2024–2026, including the December 2024 ChatGPT planning trial and March 2025 evaluator explanation.
Current EEF project page inconsistently labels completion September 2026 despite December 2024 report upload; publication date is anchored to the dated 2024 release, not the project status field. Full trial PDF not audited in this pass.
Primary school-learning studies
Original PNAS 2025 article; official LearnLM November 2025 report plus arXiv posting; World Bank May 2025 PDF and exact-date author list; July 2026 SSRN original indexed abstract.
Long-term unaided transfer remains scarce. The July 2026 teaching paper is abstract-only. Broad primary-school independent causal evidence remains weaker here than secondary-school evidence.
Derek Bruff / Intentional Teaching
Official recent episode list March–September 2026; targeted primary discovery October–December 2024 and January, May, August, October and November–December 2025; a few older references screened separately. Seven interviews with substantial instructional sections read. Audio not listened to; no claim that every minute of all seven episodes was read.
Agile Learning homepage timeout; old assignment-makeover body not recovered. Episode page 2 and query endpoint unavailable; not all 131 listed episodes enumerated. Core archive newest confirmed item September 22, 2026, not a guarantee of latest publication.
John Warner / Just Visiting
Current index and targeted original essays covering December 2024, March and October 2025, June–September 2026; earlier 2024 compendium and original essays screened for classics. Selected original arguments read; secondary factual examples remain attributed.
Pagination page=1 returned cache miss. Index and search snapshots differed in latest visible entries; September 24 original article independently opened. Some platform pages advertise institutional access, but all retrieval here was unauthenticated public web; availability may vary by reader.
Marc Watkins / Rhetorica
2024 yearly title index; 2024 and 2025 year-end author reviews and their original-essay pointers; 2025 targeted search; 2026 yearly index plus current archive through September 20, 2026. Six selected in-window bodies, one older reading classic and two year-end essays read. Title screening was broader than full reading.
2025 sitemap failed even via the official sitemap link; compensated with year-end review and multiple targeted queries, not claimed as complete. Substack archive offset/API retrieval failed; no production feed verified. Embedded videos and created teaching sites were not run.
Anna Mills
All visible 2024 and 2025 yearly title indexes; 2026 yearly index supplemented by newer July and August entries in current archive. In-window earliest original classroom update November 14, 2024; latest selected August 7, 2026. Five selected articles, including January prompt text; July interview teaser read but full interview held.
2026 sitemap snapshot stops earlier than the current archive. Externally linked slide decks, custom bots and student surveys not all inspected. No original full-interview release date established for Writing on the Edge.
UC Davis PAIRR
Official project history and publication/conference list spanning 2024–2026, 2025 original articles and 2025–2027 expansion project. Frontiers course report substantive body and footnotes; recovered Computers and Composition publisher PDF methods, main results, limitations and date footer.
ScienceDirect and SSRN direct links failed; UC eScholarship PDF provided lawful public original article. 2026 WAC chapters remain date/body held. Related papers share a PAIRR evidence cluster and must not be counted as independent replication.
诗梳风
2026-01-19 to 2026-09-17: all 32 items visible in both archive pages and the public RSS Downloaded original public HTML and concatenated serialized React text chunks to recover transcripts. Close-read selected thematic passages; this is neither full audio listening nor uniform line-by-line reading of every episode.
No pre-2026 archive items exist in the 32-item archive inspected. The official notice says transcripts are derived from original audio and may contain typographical/recognition errors. It does not establish whether production was fully automated or human-edited. Audio was not checked. Some strong factual/economic claims remain unverified. EP7 was inspected but excluded for overlap with EP9/27 and its broader content-production rather than education focus. Other episodes were screened by titles/descriptions, not fully evaluated.
Wharton Generative AI Labs
Full current research index inspected; selected and closely read dated pages span 2025-03-04 to 2026-07-29 Public HTML article/report prose, methods, findings and caveats. Linked SSRN reports, underlying datasets and all graph values were not independently audited.
The current index is not a chronological two-year archive and does not date every entry. Shopping, games and general persuasion work were excluded as outside direct educational fit. Chain-of-thought report was read but excluded to avoid expanding into generic prompting coverage. Older teaching-prototype papers were identified through the index/earlier source map, but exact dates and full text were not reverified in this pass. Studio structured datePublished is July 20, 2026 and dateModified July 29; visible authored report and citation are July 29. The explicitly dated report version is used, with the original-publication discrepancy disclosed.
Ethan Mollick / One Useful Thing
Current archive shows 12 posts from 2026-02-18 to 2026-10-01; targeted education/learning searches also examined older 2024–2025 candidates Full public prose of all three selected/classic essays. Linked studies were not all independently reread.
Public archive API returned HTTP 403; no complete paginated two-year archive was obtained. This is not described as exhaustive author coverage. Search often surfaced comment pages; reader comments were not substituted for author claims. The Overhang (2026-09-18) is already in the seed, so it was excluded as a duplicate. Generic model news and shopping/agent workflow posts were excluded even when they mention education.
Yuk Hui / e-flux
Issue #161 (March 2026) plus targeted author/topic search spanning October 2024–October 2026 Main argument in all three sections and conclusion read; notes inspected but their sources not all read.
Author search is not a complete bibliographic audit. No date was inferred from image modification metadata or URL structure.
Alison Gopnik / Conversations with Tyler
Official episode archive screened around Gopnik and 2024/2025 retrospective anchors; targeted 2025–2026 author searches Close-read official transcript’s learning, schooling and AI sections. Other topics were sampled rather than comprehensively interpreted.
The author homepage gives little extractable text; search also found research PDFs, not additional deeply read original essays selected here. The broad podcast is not treated as an education feed or a blanket endorsement of all guest views.
李政涛 / original interview and institutional publications
Targeted 2025–2026 author searches, ECNU education index search visibility, original 2026-02-22 interview Complete interview text read on the university repost, original publisher checked for authorship/date and matching text. Other candidates were index/snippet screening.
The 2025 conceptual article only has issue-level dating in the evidence inspected; held rather than assigned a fabricated day. The July bottom-line article was not selected because it is a repost and broader governance rather than the strongest original education/AI fit. ECNU directory repeatedly timed out or returned 502. Tian Aili candidate lacks full-text and original-day verification. No verified personal blog or RSS was found for Li; no channel is invented.
李宏毅 / National Taiwan University
2025 Fall and 2026 Spring official course schedules reviewed; 2024 course known from prior map and remains older context Official course objectives/FAQ/schedules; substantial extracted text from the 96-page evaluation slide deck. No video playback, full transcript reading or complete visual figure audit.
A timetable is not treated as the publication date for the entire course. 2026 course homepage lacks an exact publication day, so it is not made into a dated story. Some slide diagrams are text-poor; screenshot retrieval partly failed. Only text-supported claims are summarized. Course rules are not assumed to persist across years.
Grading for Growth / Robert Talbert / David Clark
Read all visible yearly title lists for 2024, 2025 and 2026 plus current archive through September 2026; 2024 list includes out-of-window titles. 2026 indexed sitemap stops in August, supplemented with current archive. Targeted AI searches plus linked follow-up chain. 8 selected complete bodies; additionally knee-jerk reactions, new-year thoughts, retrospective, A/B comparison, and common-questions comments. Archive screening not counted as full reads.
Robert’s separate blog tag routes rtalbert.org/tag/ai/ and roberttalbert.org/tag/ai/ were unavailable. Not all general-grading posts deep-read; selected AI-relevant changes and one clearly labelled assessment-design comparator.
Dawson / CRADLE and co-authors
Personal source, journal 2025/2026 discovery and forward/backward citation chain; specific original paper and repository checks. CRADLE archive challenge encountered and not solved. Two validity conversations, Wicked problem, Talk is cheap, Assessment after AI, wearables, programme redevelopment, feedback ecosystem, grading reform, and two recent interviews.
CRADLE blog CAPTCHA blocks comprehensive archive review; no claim of exhaustive two-year coverage. Several T&F full-text routes return 403. Two conceptual pieces are explicitly limited/indexed; three recent research candidates remain held. Audio not heard; no interview conclusions inferred beyond notes.
Jason Lodge / Needed Now
Visible 2024, 2025, 2026 annual archives screened; selected entries read and authors checked. UQ current works list used to discover original research and identify duplicated TEQSA work. 8 selected original newsletter articles by named authors, 2024 oral-assessment and relationship pieces, additional title-only candidates, and feedback research.
Editor role never treated as authorship of other contributors. UQ default list exposes only 20 of 178 works; complete author bibliography not exhausted. 2026 directive/metacognitive paper held for unknown exact day and insufficient full-text reading; Nature comment held for paywall.
Panos Ipeirotis
Homepage and full visible archive year structure: 2024 has January/September only (outside window); 2025 has three posts, 2026 six. Screened education-relevant work and the oral-assessment version chain. Original oral-exam blog, v3 expanded paper, exit-ticket workflow; research-management and travel/legal pieces excluded.
No independent classroom replication or tool execution. Blog and v3 report different descriptive numbers; selected summary uses v3, not a blended dataset.
Lorena Barba / Laura Stegner
Targeted 2024–2026 author searches and original author-deposited manuscripts; failure-to-redesign chain read. Both selected manuscripts; 2024 course-AI-mentor source is pre-window and referenced rather than counted.
Personal blog route unavailable; not a complete publication census. Journal and deposited manuscript versions were not line-by-line compared.
UCL
Institution guidance and targeted 2025/2026 original practice/research; predecessor postgraduate and later undergraduate cases treated as separate cohorts. Two selected papers, undated categories reference, source blog and recent programme landing.
Categories page exact date missing; excluded from dated catalog. UCL does not stand in for all UK institutions. Repository PDFs were read in web extraction; direct download 403 was not bypassed.
Open University
Current learning-design archive, AI resource hub, 2025 frameworks original post and versioned student guidance; targeted 2024–2026 searches. Two selected primary resources; toolkit and new projects screened.
2026 assessment toolkit exact publication day not verified. Guidance uses revision date explicitly, not inferred initial release. Current Responsible by Design resource has six pillars; 2025 authored introduction has four.
QAA / TEQSA
Primary resources indexes and targeted 2024–2026 searches; read original report methods and reform pathways rather than re-counting news announcements. QAA original report and September announcement, purpose-of-HE opinion, transnational project; TEQSA enacting reform, earlier principles, current adaptive report (already seeded).
Members-only resources not accessed. TEQSA adaptive-capabilities seed deliberately not duplicated. Policy/guidance is not a classroom effect estimate.
