Integrating Generative AI Into University Coursework Assessments – a Student Perspective
Summary
Medical-science students see value in critiquing AI but resist universal AI integration.
The 2023/24 task involved critiquing a generated grant proposal. Thirty of 230 students answered the survey; seven joined a focus group.
Most respondents opposed AI integration into every assessment. Retrospective grade comparisons do not establish causal learning effects.
