A little about me
My research began with snow leopards and conservation on the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau.
I study how the expanding human footprint, from farmland and pastures to cities, reshapes where wildlife can live, and how to reconstruct those changes from global open data, Earth observation and carefully validated AI.

The world that the snow leopard showed me
“I turned around, and a snow leopard had landed two metres to my left — then it turned and ran.”
“Standing on the overpass, I thought: living comfortably in the city, it is easy for us to talk about wildlife conservation. But the herders who live alongside wildlife lose a few percent of their property to wild animals every year, and still protect them of their own accord.”
